Phototherapy Treatment Sessions

In most cases it is best to remove all of your clothing during the treatment, but men should keep their privates covered. Your face may also be protected if it is unaffected by the skin condition. When you are ready, you will step inside the phototherapy treatment booth. The door will be closed and the light treatment will begin. You will be surrounded by UV lights that will emit carefully selected wavelengths of light for the required amount of time. In some cases, a hand and foot unit will be used to treat a smaller area of skin if whole body treatment isn’t needed. The treatment won’t usually last more than a few minutes.
